Senior Executives Interested in Career Moves – Even Without Compensation Increase
The BlueSteps 2011 Mid-Year Outlook Report shows that although most executives surveyed are interested in making a career move this year, over half the respondents (52%) expect their compensation level to remain the same.
This supports findings from the 2011 BlueSteps Executive Mobility Report, where 65% expected to make only a lateral career move and stay at their current level for the next three to five years. This evidence may reflect the continuing economic uncertainty

AESC: The Year Of Resurgence For Executive Search Industry
The AESC’s 2010 Annual Report on the Retained Executive Search Industry shows senior executive recruiting at its third highest level ever.
This is due to a dramatic resurgence in demand following the precipitous decline of 2009. From a downturn in 2009 of -32.5% the industry grew by an average of 28.5% in 2010, putting it at only 13% below the all time industry peak of 2008.
